Hermle 5-axis machining center financing — C 32, C 42, and the rest of the C-series.

An AS9100 shop putting a Hermle C 42 U on the floor for titanium structural work. A medical shop adding a C 32 U with a pallet changer to run implants overnight. A mold shop replacing a tired 3+2 machine with a full-simultaneous C 52 U. 22 years financing machine tools; one approval covers the machine, the automation, the tooling, and the rigging. Who we fund

A Hermle is a shop's biggest single purchase for a decade. The shops that put one on the floor with us all look like this:

Aerospace suppliers

AS9100 shops cutting Ti, Inconel, and aluminum brackets, fittings, and structural parts for primes and tier-ones. C 32 U and C 42 U are the workhorses here; the long-term contract behind the machine is what the lender underwrites.

Medical and orthopedic

ISO 13485 shops running implants, instruments, and spinal hardware. Small, complex, high-value parts — C 22 U and C 32 U with pallet automation for lights-out volume.

Mold, die, and precision tooling

Cavity and core work, deep-pocket electrodes, hardened-steel finishing. C 42 U and C 52 U for the envelope and the rigidity. Often paired with a wire EDM on the same package.

Shops stepping up from 3+2

Established job shops replacing a positioning-only machine or a dedicated head unit with full-simultaneous 5-axis. Trade payoff rolled into the new deal when the trade valuation supports it.

Automated cell buildouts

Machine plus Hermle pallet changer or robot cell, chip conveyor, cooling unit, tool presetting. Financed as one deal — one payment, one lien, one lender.

Multi-Hermle shops adding a unit

Shops already running one or two Hermles adding the next. Repeat-customer files close fastest; the lender already knows the shop.

The whole cell on one approval

A Hermle rarely ships alone. Chip conveyor, cooling unit, pallet changer or robot, probing, tool presetting, rigging and installation — on most invoices the peripherals are a meaningful share of the total. We finance the complete cell on a single contract so you aren't stacking a machine loan on top of a separate automation lease with a different lender and a different lien.

How much down?

Hermle machines are hard assets with a real dealer, a real serial number, and an unusually strong resale market. The ranges below are reference points so you know roughly where a file lands — not a rate sheet. We review every situation individually, and once we've seen the financials we'll tell you exactly what the down payment is.

  • 700+ credit, established shop, prior commercial financing history: zero down is on the table.
  • 700+ credit, first commercial financing: around 10% down.
  • 620-700: around 20% down. Shorter term is an option if you want to pull the payment in.
  • Below 620: 25-35% down and a compelling revenue story. On a ticket this size the shop profile carries more weight than the score.

Every file is reviewed on its own merits — these tiers are a starting point, and the actual down payment comes out of the review, not off this page. Most Hermle deals run full financials (two years of business returns plus interims), which takes a few days longer and usually earns better pricing than an app-only file. Terms to 84 months on new machines.

Hermle machines we finance

C 22 U and C 32 U

The compact end of the C-series. Medical, small aerospace, prototype and R&D work. The C 32 U is the most common Hermle on our desk.

C 42 U and C 52 U

Mid and large envelope for structural aerospace parts, mold cavities, and heavier workpieces. The C 42 U is the machine pictured on this page.

C 62 U and mill-turn variants

Large-part work and MT mill-turn configurations. Full-financials deals; we've structured seven-figure tickets.

Hermle automation

Pallet changers and robot cells from Hermle, financed on the same contract as the machine.

New through Hermle USA and distributors

Standard dealer invoice, funded direct on delivery and acceptance. Approval can be in place before the machine ships.

Used Hermle through a dealer

C 30, C 40, C 50 and earlier C-series through a legitimate machine tool dealer. Evaluated on spindle hours, trunnion condition, and control generation.

Auctions and private-party purchases fall outside our financing box — see below.

Section 179 — a Hermle is the textbook case

A Hermle placed in service before December 31 typically qualifies for Section 179 expensing up to the annual IRS limit, plus bonus depreciation on the remainder. On a high-six-figure machine that is a material tax-year decision, and the financing lets you take the deduction this year while paying for the machine over the next five to seven. Run your numbers on our Section 179 calculator, then confirm with your CPA.
