Farm equipment financing for established operations — any dealer, one approval.
A used 8R or Magnum for the row-crop operation. A combine and header before wheat. A planter, a self-propelled sprayer, a round baler, a center pivot, a grain leg, a milking parlor. Twenty-two years of agricultural equipment financing for established operations, with one approval you can carry to any dealer, and seasonal payment options on the files that qualify.
Who we fund
- Row-crop operations — corn, soybeans, wheat, cotton, rice, sugar beets, potatoes. Tractors, planters, combines, sprayers, tillage, grain handling.
- Livestock, dairy, and feedlot operations — feed mixers, loaders, manure handling, milking systems, livestock trailers pulled by a semi.
- Hay and forage — balers, windrowers, mower-conditioners, bale wagons, custom hay operators.
- Orchard, vineyard, and specialty crops — narrow tractors, harvesters, shakers, sprayers, packing-line equipment.
- Custom harvesters and ag contractors — combines, forage harvesters, and the trucks and trailers that move with the crew.
- Irrigation — center pivots, linear systems, pumps, filtration, and the installed system as one package.
Established operations are the fit here: a farm or ranch with several years of operating history and a credit picture we can underwrite. A first-year operation buying its first tractor can be considered because the equipment holds its value — the down payment follows the personal credit score, up to 40% for weak credit.
What we finance
- Tractors — John Deere, Case IH, New Holland, Kubota, AGCO (Massey Ferguson, Fendt, Challenger), Claas. Compact through 4WD and tracked high-horsepower. High-horsepower tractors up to about 20 years old are fundable on the right program when hours are reasonable. Compact and utility tractors have their own page.
- Combines and headers — Deere S- and X-series, Case IH Axial-Flow, New Holland CR, Claas Lexion, with corn heads and draper platforms on the same loan.
- Planters, drills, sprayers, tillage — Deere, Case IH, Kinze, Great Plains, Horsch, Apache, Hagie, RoGator.
- Hay and forage equipment — Vermeer, Deere, Case IH, New Holland, Krone, Kuhn.
- Grain handling and storage — bins, legs, dryers, augers, scales, as installed systems.
- Irrigation — Valley, Zimmatic, Reinke, T-L pivots and the pumps and controls behind them.
- Livestock and dairy equipment — feed wagons, TMR mixers, parlors, robotic milkers, handling systems.
- Farm trucks, grain trucks, and semi-pulled livestock and hopper trailers — financed on our truck and trailer programs.
Standard monthly, with seasonal options where the file earns them
Most farm equipment deals are standard monthly payments over terms of up to about six years on major equipment. For established operations with strong credit, some of our agricultural programs also offer annual, semi-annual, or skip-payment schedules built around harvest. That's an option on qualifying files, not the rule — tell us how the operation gets paid and we'll tell you whether a seasonal schedule is available on yours.
Dealers, auctions, and private sellers
We finance equipment purchased through a dealer — new or used, any dealer, with an invoice and serial number. We do not finance private-party sales. Auction purchases work differently: pay cash at the sale (Ritchie Bros., BigIron, Purple Wave, local consignment sales), and if the machine is 2018 or newer, worth $50,000 or more, and titled free and clear in your name, our cash-out refinance program puts the money back in the operating account, usually within two weeks.
How much down
The ranges below are reference points so you know roughly where a file lands — they are not a rate sheet. We review every situation individually, and once we've seen your file we'll tell you exactly what the down payment is.
- Established operation, 700+ credit, prior equipment financing paid as agreed: $0 down is on the table.
- Established operation, strong credit, first equipment financing: around 10%.
- Established operation, credit in the 600s: plan on 20% or more, and expect the lender to ask about the operating line and the crop plan.
- New operation: farm equipment holds its value, so a startup with a lower score can still be considered — the down payment follows the personal credit score, up to 40% down for weak credit.
Every file is reviewed on its own merits. Years operating, acres and head, the specific machine, and comparable credit all move the number — the tiers above are where files usually start, not where they have to end.
What we don't finance
- Auction purchases
- Private-seller purchases
- Glider trucks
- Repairs to existing equipment
- Refinances of current loans (cash-out refi on free-and-clear equipment only — call for details)
Frequently asked
Do you finance used farm equipment? Yes, and it is most of what we do in ag — through a dealer, with an invoice and serial number. We do not finance private-party purchases; auction buys are handled through the cash-out refinance program after the sale.
Is there an age limit? Not a hard one on the right program. High-horsepower tractors and combines up to about 20 years old fund when hours are reasonable and the machine inspects well. Older or very high-hour equipment is case by case.
Can the payments be annual or seasonal? On qualifying files, yes. Some of our ag programs offer annual, semi-annual, and skip-payment schedules for established operations with strong credit. Most deals are standard monthly; ask and we'll tell you whether yours qualifies.
Do you finance irrigation systems and grain bins? Yes, as installed equipment packages, including the pump, controls, and installation on one loan.
How large a deal? Application-only approvals run to roughly $350,000 for strong files; larger purchases and whole-line refinances are underwritten with financials, with no fixed upper limit.

“As a new startup, Logan helped me find the easiest financing with little hassle. The whole experience was awesome — especially the ability to walk into a dealership and negotiate a price knowing you have already been approved. Will go this route from now on.”
