Crane financing for the operators who lift for a living — boom trucks to crawlers, one approval.

A sign company adding a second National boom truck. A crane-rental outfit buying a used Grove rough-terrain for a plant-maintenance contract. A steel erector stepping up to a Link-Belt crawler. A roofing contractor financing a knuckle-boom for material delivery. Twenty-two years financing lifting equipment, with the inspection, the title work on the chassis, and the funding handled on our side.

Who we fund

  • Crane-rental companies — bare and operated rental fleets adding capacity or replacing aging units.
  • Steel erectors and precast contractors — crawlers and all-terrain cranes sized to the work.
  • Sign, HVAC, and roofing contractors — boom trucks and knuckle-booms for material placement.
  • Tree and utility contractors — bucket trucks, aerial lifts, and knuckle-boom grapple trucks.
  • Equipment rental yards — boom lifts and scissor lifts in fleet quantities, funded to the dealer.

What we finance

  • Boom trucks and knuckle-booms — National, Manitex, Altec, Terex, Elliott, Palfinger, Hiab, Fassi. Chassis and crane on one loan.
  • Rough-terrain and all-terrain cranes — Grove, Link-Belt, Tadano, Liebherr, Terex, Kobelco.
  • Crawler cranes — Link-Belt, Manitowoc, Kobelco, Liebherr, Sany.
  • Carry-deck and industrial cranes — Broderson, Shuttlelift, Grove.
  • Aerial work platforms — JLG, Genie, Skyjack boom lifts and scissor lifts, bucket trucks.
  • Mini cranes and material handlers — Maeda, Jekko, Spydercrane, glass-handling units.

Age and hours

Heavy cranes carry their value a long time, and the programs we use for them reflect that: units up to about 20 years old with reasonable hours fund on the right file. Boom trucks follow the truck age caps on the chassis (generally 8 to 10 years). Aerial lifts are generally 10 years or newer. Dealer purchases only; a crane bought at auction with cash can be refinanced afterward through the cash-out program.

How much down

The ranges below are reference points so you know roughly where a file lands — they are not a rate sheet. We review every situation individually, and once we've seen your file we'll tell you exactly what the down payment is.

  • Established business, 700+ credit, prior commercial financing paid as agreed: low or zero down is on the table.
  • Established business, strong credit, first commercial financing: around 10% down.
  • Established business, credit in the 600s: plan on 15% to 25%.
  • New business: this equipment holds its value, so a startup with a lower score can be considered — the down payment follows the personal credit score, up to 40% for weak credit.

Every file is reviewed on its own merits. Time in business, bank statements, the specific equipment, and comparable credit all move the number — the tiers above are where files usually start, not where they have to end.

What we don't finance

  • Auction purchases
  • Private-seller purchases
  • Glider trucks
  • Repairs to existing equipment
  • Refinances of current loans (cash-out refi on free-and-clear equipment only — call for details)

Frequently asked

Do you finance the chassis and the crane together? Yes, as one loan. For a crane mounted on a new chassis by an upfitter, we fund the chassis dealer and the upfitter on one approval.

Can I finance a crane bought at auction? Not directly — we finance dealer purchases. Paid cash at auction for a 2018-or-newer crane worth $50,000+ that's free and clear in your name? Our cash-out refinance program can put the money back in your account afterward. Private-party purchases are not financed.

Is there an age limit on cranes? Heavy cranes up to about 20 years old with reasonable hours fund on the right program. Boom trucks follow the chassis age caps, generally 8 to 10 years; aerial lifts generally 10 years or newer.

How large a deal? Application-only approvals typically run to $250,000; larger cranes and fleet packages are underwritten with financials, with no fixed upper limit.

How fast? Approvals in 24 to 48 hours on application-only files, funding in 3 to 5 business days from a complete application and inspection.

★★★★★

“I have been in commercial truck sales since 1998 and have dealt with multiple finance companies over the years. I have been working with Spencer at Trust Alliance Capital for about 6 years now. Trust Alliance is my only alternative finance company in the industry. Spencer is absolutely the most personable and responsive person I have ever dealt with. Thanks for all you do.”

“As a new startup, Logan helped me find the easiest financing with little hassle. The whole experience was awesome — especially the ability to walk into a dealership and negotiate a price knowing you have already been approved. Will go this route from now on.”
