Detailing Trailers
Enclosed cargo trailers (6x12, 7x14, 8.5x18, larger) built out with pressure washer, water tanks, generator, vacuum, interior detailing tools, shelving, and lighting. Pulled behind a pickup or SUV.
Detailing Vans
Ford Transit, Mercedes Sprinter, Ram ProMaster, Nissan NV upfits. Same equipment build as a trailer, contained in a daily-driver van. Common for solo operators with tight access to apartments and dense urban work.
Hot-Water Pressure Washers
Hydro-Tek SCS series, Mi-T-M HSP series, Cam Spray, Landa. Skid-mount or trailer-mount hot-water systems with diesel or propane fuel, the workhorse of any serious mobile detailing operation.
Water Tanks & Reclaim
Fresh-water tanks (100-300+ gallons) plus optional gray-water reclaim systems for environmentally-regulated jurisdictions and high-volume fleet wash work.
Generators, Steamers, Vacuums
Onan, Honda, Generac generators sized for the pressure washer and vacuum load. Mytee S-300A steamers, Mytee + Rotovac extractors, wet/dry vacuums, Tornador air tools.
Ceramic Coating & Paint Correction
Polishers, paint thickness gauges, inspection lights, ceramic application kits (Gtechniq, CQuartz, Modesta). High-margin add-on service that funds alongside the rig when you're ready.
Detailer going full-time — exactly the deal banks fumble
A detailer with three years of weekend work picks the trailer, picks the pressure washer, picks the generator. The builder quotes 8 weeks. The total cost is $55K. The customer base is already lined up — repeat clients from weekend work plus a couple of dealer accounts ready to convert to mobile.
Then the bank pulls up a 60-day-old EIN with no full-time business history and a 8-week build-out timeline that doesn't fit a standard equipment loan, and declines. The builder won't start without a deposit. The deal stalls.
That's our business. The build-out structure — deposit to the builder at order on prefund-eligible files, or customer-deposit-plus-fund-at-delivery on challenged credit — gets the rig built and the detailer full-time. We've structured this deal hundreds of times.
Two paths through the build timeline — honest about what we actually do
Good-credit operator: we have lenders who will prefund the deposit to the builder at order so the build can begin. The balance funds at delivery on the final invoice. Available on good credit only.
Challenged-credit operator: 40% down at order from you, we fund the balance at delivery. The larger down payment is the structure that makes the deal fundable when credit alone wouldn't carry it.
Established mobile detailing operator: standard fund-at-delivery with the broadest lender access. Often the fastest closes — second rig or ceramic coating equipment addition usually goes app-only.
