Paving and milling equipment financing — from a first cold planer to a full road-building spread.

Cold planers, asphalt pavers, rollers, material transfer vehicles, reclaimers. 22 years funding road work — established paving contractors come to us for the speed and the convenience, and crew members going independent come to us because we know how to structure a high-ticket, thin-file deal that a bank won't touch. Either way, a real person picks up the phone.

What we finance

Paving is a spread, not a single machine. We finance the whole crew — one piece at a time or all at once, new or used, from any dealer or private seller.

Cold Planers / Milling Machines

Wirtgen (W50–W250 series), Caterpillar (PM series), Roadtec (RX series), Bomag. Working widths from 1 ft to 14+ ft. The "grinders" that remove old pavement before resurfacing.

Asphalt Pavers

Vögele, Caterpillar, Roadtec, Volvo, Weiler, LeeBoy, Dynapac, BOMAG. Highway-class tracked pavers down to compact commercial and parking-lot units.

Rollers & Compactors

Hamm, BOMAG, Caterpillar, Volvo, Sakai, Dynapac. Steel double-drum, pneumatic-tire, and combination rollers for breakdown, intermediate, and finish passes.

Material Transfer Vehicles

Roadtec Shuttle Buggy, Weiler, BOMAG. Keep the paver moving and the mat smooth on highway and large-lot work.

Reclaimers & Stabilizers

Wirtgen, Caterpillar. Full-depth reclamation and soil stabilization for road rebuilds and base work.

Support Equipment

Tack/distributor trucks, sweepers, skid steers, screeds, plate compactors, dump trucks, and equipment trailers — the rest of the spread.

Asphalt roller and paving spread financed by Trust Alliance Capital

High-ticket, specialized, and seasonal — exactly the deals banks fumble

A cold planer can run from $100,000 to well over $1 million. The resale market is real but specialized, the work is seasonal, and many buyers are coming off a crew to go independent. A generalist bank sees risk in every one of those facts. We see a fundable operator and structure the deal around the down payment, the business plan, and the prior experience.

Who we fund

  • Crew members going independent. You've run the machine for someone else for years — now you want to take contracts on your own. This is one of our favorite deals to structure.
  • Milling subcontractors buying their first or next cold planer to bid resurfacing and mill-and-fill work.
  • Established paving contractors scaling the fleet — adding a second paver, a finish roller, or an MTV without the bank back-and-forth.
  • Commercial and parking-lot pavers running compact spreads — LeeBoy-class pavers, small planers, ride-on rollers.
  • Buyers of used equipment — used Wirtgen planers and pavers outside the dealer finance company's age and hours limits.
  • Strong-credit road builders who want an equipment-finance specialist instead of a bank's generalist desk.
  • Operators with a thin file but real experience and a down payment who need a finance company that will read the whole story, not just the credit score.

What this looks like in practice

A California operator called us. He'd spent years working on an asphalt crew — running the equipment, learning the trade — and he was ready to take contracts on his own. The machine he needed: a Wirtgen cold milling machine, over $600,000. He'd just sold a home and had real cash to put into the deal, but his business was brand new and his credit, while reasonable, didn't have much depth behind it.

A bank would have stopped at "new business, thin file, $600K specialized machine." We didn't. We collected his full financials, sat down with our credit manager, and went through his business plan — the contracts he was targeting, his crew experience, the math on his first season.

The structure that made it work: 40% down from his home-sale proceeds. That down payment, combined with his hands-on experience and a credible plan, gave the program the confidence to fund. We wired the vendor, and he took delivery of his Wirtgen.

A crew member became an owner-operator on a $600,000 machine the bank wouldn't look at. Real experience, a real down payment, and a credit team willing to read the whole file. That's the difference between a finance company that knows paving and a bank that doesn't.

How we structure paving deals

  1. Tell us the machine and the plan. Cold planer, paver, roller, or a full spread — and whether you're established or going independent. The plan matters as much as the machine on a startup deal.
  2. We underwrite the whole story. Credit tier, time in business, the down payment you can bring, your crew experience, and the contracts you're targeting. On thin-file deals, the business plan and the down payment do real work.
  3. We bring real terms. Down payment, monthly payment, term — not "rate starts at" marketing numbers.
  4. You sign and we fund the vendor. Wire direct to the dealer or private seller. You take delivery and start bidding work.

★★★★★

“Trust Alliance Capital helped me get financing for a dump truck when I had a previous bankruptcy on my record. Spencer worked hard to find me a program that fit my situation and got me back on the road. I am very grateful for their help and would recommend them to anyone in a similar situation.”

★★★★★

“I have been in commercial truck sales since 1998 and have dealt with multiple finance companies over the years. I have been working with Spencer at Trust Alliance Capital for about 6 years now. Trust Alliance is my only alternative finance company in the industry. Spencer is absolutely the most personable and responsive person I have ever dealt with. Thanks for all you do.”
